We are now well into 2016 and hopefully the year to date has been treating you all well?
Personally, the start to my year has been a bit rubbish, what with the anti-climax of Christmas and it being over with for another year, plus the daunting thought of having to find myself a proper job. Thankfully however, I ended the month well, with a short trip to Bristol with my boyfriend, where we stayed at the lovely Bristol Hotel. Then as February began, I signed the contract for a new job (at last!) and we booked up some travels for the months ahead. Hopefully, things will pick up from here?
If you’ve read my 2016 Travel Bucket List, you will know that there are plenty of amazing places on my radar.. well today I thought I would share some of my 2016 travel plans with you.
✈
If you missed my Instagram announcement back in mid-January (or maybe you haven’t read my Travel Bucket List yet?) you might not be aware of the fact that in the coming week I am off on another adventure..
Yes, I am off to the Czech Republic for a short break exploring Prague, and I can’t wait! The last time I went to Prague was when I was only ten years old – now, as I am approaching my 24th birthday, that is a longgg time ago! I am really looking forward to seeing the sights (again) and discovering some of the less trodden paths of ‘local’ Prague. I will be refreshing my memories of the city and seeing it in a new light, as well as experiencing the city during a different season.
My second booked-up trip of the year is even more exciting.
At the end of March I will be jumping aboard the plane and crossing the ‘Pond’ to the States. The starting point will be Washington DC and from there I will be making my way up the East Coast, stopping in Philadelphia, New York (Ahhh!!) and finishing the trip in Boston, with a handful of days left to explore the city and the beautiful surroundings of New England. To say that I am excited is a huge understatement!
If you’ve been to any of the places I’ve mentioned, or maybe you are even a local yourself, I would love to hear your tips and suggestions on places to see or things not to miss. I love experiencing cities as the locals do, discovering spots that are ‘far from the madding crowd’ and you know, hunting down all kind of beautiful street art.

Seems like you have some GREAT plans ahead! And congratulations on signing the contract for your new job 🙂
Thank you so much Lisa – I’m a little nervous about it but looking forward to getting stuck into something new 🙂 And yes, I’m so excited to explore some new places – especially over in the States! Fingers crossed for good weather !!
I absolutely adore Prague! Have a wonderful time :):) – I’ve got a list of must-dos on the blog if you want to check it out… They’re a bit Christmas-y but most stand year round! X
Hi Cassie, thanks so much! I can’t wait to revisit – I can’t remember all that much from my previous trip so it will be nice to refresh my memories! I shall definitely head on over to your blog in search of inspiration. X
Awesome – I always wanted to go to Prague (maybe next year). You will have a blast in those East Coast cities. They are all unique in there own way. I have explored Washington D.C and New York more than the others . Here is a link to top 10 free things to do in NYC I wrote a few weeks ago as a great starting point.

Hi Simi, thank you so much for your comment! Prague is amazing, you definitely have to go if you can 🙂 I seriously can’t wait for my trip to the States – I’ve started putting together my list of things I want to do in the various cities and I’m starting think that I won’t have enough time for it all! I suppose that means I’ll just have to revisit them someday haha! Also, thank you for the link to your post on NYC – I’ve just had a look and jotted down some of your suggestions! 😀
If you make it to Philly, make sure to have a cheesesteak and check out Liberty Bell. Hope you are enjoying your travels this year.
Hi, thanks so much for your recommendation ! Philly is stop # 2 on our tour so I will definitely be finding myself a cheesesteak and will visit the Liberty Bell for sure! My travels are going really well so far and have a few more plans in the pipeline 😀
