Hello, I’m Victoria, and I’m the editor of the Girl on the Move Blog!
I’ve always had a passion for travel. Whether it be far flung, in Europe or simply here in the UK, discovering new places and meeting different people has always been my favourite thing. In 2015 I decided to document all of my adventures into this little Blog with one aim. I want to bring you authentic and realistic travel advice and tips.
Whilst I’d love to say that I travel the world all year every year, I work full-time and try to get away as much as my holiday allowance permits! Since 2015, my husband and I have been to four different continents and had some incredible adventures. We then write these up to guide you through your journeys. We’ve managed to see some incredible things, including getting up close and personal with some awesome wildlife, visiting wonders of the world and some of the most iconic cityscapes. Travel really should be for everyone and all of our trips are based upon a realistic budget for that destination. We also include all of the essential experiences that anybody would be able to do.
If there is one thing about the Girl on the Move blog you should know, it is that it can be your ultimate travel companion. Whether you use it for accommodation, activities, food, history or even just inspiration, I have you covered and can’t wait to see where the journey takes you next.

Thank you for sharing your travels. It remains amazing to me that I found you through a dream. I am a retired teacher, so am excited your career path is in education. Greetings and Godspeed from Virginia, USA.
Hi Nancy, so nice to hear from you and sorry for the delay in my reply! I’m so happy that you found me and like my blog. I’ve made it through my training year and am now in my first year of being a ‘real’ teacher – needless to say it is hard work and I’m finding it quite hard to balance my work and my life but I’m hanging on in there! Best wishes from England!!
