In my February life update I mentioned a BIG trip that my boyfriend and I booked for the end of this month. I’m super excited to share the details of our adventure with you today and am hoping that lots of you will be able to share your top tips and recommendations for the different places on our itinerary!

We are going to California!
Our flights are booked and later this month we will be flying west for a two week adventure in the Golden State.
Our trip starts in the city of San Francisco, before we hop across into Nevada to experience Las Vegas and take a trip to see the magnificent Grand Canyon. From there we will make our way back across into California and spend a few days soaking up the sun in San Diego, before finishing our trip in Los Angeles.
I am so excited for this trip as I have wanted to visit California for years. There are so many things that I want to see, eat and do and can’t wait to tick some amazing experiences and sights off my bucket list!

We need YOU!
As I said above I would love you to share as many tips and recommendations with me as possible. Maybe you’ve visited one or all of these places before and can tell me what I mustn’t miss or perhaps you have some money saving tips? Maybe you’re a local and know some cool local hotspots which tourists tend to miss, or even an amazing coffee shop, bakery or restaurant?
Please tell me ALL your tips and I can’t wait to take you along on the adventure with me!
Love V x

Ohh this is so exciting! I was born in Cali and have gone back quite a few times. Never done your exact route before, though, but rather just drove straight up Route 1. I definitely recommend a stop in Monterrey and Santa Barbara if you have time. La Super-Rica Taqueria in Santa Barbara is this no frills place, but everything is made fresh and they are the BEST tacos in the US! Very famous (lots of celebs like Meryl Streep love it) but also under the radar 🙂 There is also amazing Mexican food in LA, obviously. And in San Fransisco, get an afternoon tea at Crown and Crumpet in Ghiradelli Square. The cutest and one of the most memorable meals of my life! Have an amazing time 🙂
Thank you so much for your tips Sarah, so helpful! We’re going to try and include stops in Monterrey and Santa Barbara – definitely eyeing up the aquarium in Monterrey Bay and your suggestion of La Super-Rica Taqueria sounds amazing – if it’s good enough for Meryl it’s good enough for me! Will also try out Crown and Crumpet in SF too. Thank you once again 🙂 Victoria
