The end of summer is here. How is it already September and where did my 6 weeks of holiday go? As always time has flown by and another month has passed. August was a pretty busy one for me – I’ve been out of the country for most of it living my best life travelling around, eating lots of delicious food and just generally having a great time. Let me tell you all about it – here is my August life update. Enjoy!

I’ve been Interrailing
If you regularly read my blog or follow my travels you’ll know I go interrailing rather a lot. This year was no exception and near the beginning of the month I hopped aboard the Eurostar and whizzed across to Brussels, the start point of this year’s trip. The trip was essentially split into 3 chunks – our time in Austria, Italy and France – and all the places we visited contrasted yet complimented each other very nicely. Whilst I had visited all but 3 main stops before, my boyfriend Jack hadn’t been to any of our stops which gave me a great excuse to rediscover some of my favourite European cities such as Vienna and Venice. Once I’ve finished writing all of my US posts there will be absolutely loads of European content coming your way and I can’t wait to share all the amazing places and experiences we had with you! Watch this space..
A Weekend in Paris
I’ve just recently returned home from a long weekend in Paris with Jack and had the best time showing him around all the sights and my favourite corners of the city. It was our mission to ‘do’ the main sights and see as much as we could in just 3 days and to be honest I think we succeeded! We even found a few pieces of street art (featuring flamingos) which made me a very happy girl indeed and I came away the proud owner of a traditional (pink) beret which I am very excited to wear once the weather gets a bit colder..
Celebrating in Style
There’s been a lot to celebrate this past month; Jack’s birthday, our anniversary and a little promotion at work. Plus it’s been the holidays so any excuse for a celebration has worked for us! Jack’s birthday was spent in Paris and was our main sightseeing day followed by a tasty meal in Le Vrai Paris in Montmartre. Our anniversary was spent back home and we started with brunch at Coppa Club in Sonning and then wined and dined ourselves in the evening at the Giggling Squid – a real foodie day!

In Case You Missed Them..
At the start of the month I shared my itinerary for my European interrail trip, which was followed by a post about my trip to San Diego Zoo during our holiday to America at Easter. I then wrote a post about our unforgettable evening in La Jolla, featuring Sealions, harbour seals and dolphins, and how you should add La Jolla to your bucket list! My final post of the month was another one from California – my guide to the most Instagram worthy spots in Los Angeles. Do check them out if you’ve missed them.
