June has been a busy month full of things to do. As always it seems to have passed in the blink of an eye and somehow it’s a new month already. Let me tell you what I’ve been up to in the last few weeks!

Lunching in Windsor
The month started with a Sunday trip to Windsor. A few months had passed since I had met with a group of friends and so we thought it was time to catch up over a civilised lunch. Jack and I headed over a few hours before we were due to meet up, as can you believe it, Jack had never visited Windsor and I thought we should make the most of the morning and have a look around.
The obvious first port of call was the castle, although we decided to save a trip inside for another day. We then walked through the cobbled lanes of Church and Market street before popping into a few shops. Soon enough it was time to head across the river, towards neighbouring Eton, where we met up with friends and enjoyed lunch at Cote Brasserie on the riverside. The perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday!
School trip to France
Near the end of the month it was time to hop aboard a coach with 44 twelve year olds bound for France. Leaving school at 7.30 in the morning, it was not too long before we arrived at our base for the weekend, a small beachside town south of Boulogne. Our weekend was full of activities, from visiting the aquarium Nausicaa in Boulogne, to a town trail of Le Touquet, one of the World War 1 Cemeteries, as well as all sort of team building tasks. The highlight for me was seeing the penguins in Nausicaa, obviously!
I moved into a new house..
After months of searching, Jack and I were successful in finding ourselves somewhere to live. Our cute little cottage is slowly starting to feel like home, and slowly but surely, we are managing to furnish the place and add some homely touches.
Booked a holiday!
As I mentioned last month, my plans for the summer are beginning to take shape and I am excited to tell you guys that I am off for another interrail trip. I will be on the ‘road’ for two weeks and exploring various parts of Europe, some of which will be completely new to me. I will be publishing my itinerary and asking for lots of tips and suggestions in the next few weeks!

In Case You Missed Them..
Right at the start of the month I shared my post From Pier 39 to the Golden Gate Bridge which is all about how we spent our first day in San Francisco exploring the city’s waterfront. I then shared part two of my 3 counties series with A Trip to the 3 Counties | Part 2: The Hills of Herefordshire which took me to the pretty towns of Great Malvern, Ledbury and of course, Hereford. The final post of June was my review of Brunch at Mama’s San Francisco, one of the city’s best brunch spots. Get ready for some food envy!
