I’ll start by wishing you all a very happy New Year! I’ve been a bit quiet on the blogging front as life has been very busy in the past few months but, at long last, I have a moment to sit down and look back on what was a wonderful year.
Along with moving into a new home, getting a promotion and started the process of buying a house, I’ve also travelled to 7 countries and ticked some amazing things off my bucketlist.
Read on for my year in photos…

January
I saw in the New Year (2018) in a lovely little Oxfordshire village called North Newington. We stayed in a cute Airbnb and spent our weekend away gorging ourselves on food and enjoying long walks in the Cotswold countryside.
During the month we also managed a trip to a local Nature Reserve, Warburg, for yet more walks.
February
Half term arrived and I set off for a week in France. We visited Dijon, Beaune, Paris, Versailles and Chartres.
Jack and I also spent a weekend in London, eating far too much food and exploring Shoreditch, Columbia Road Flower Market and Camden Market.
March
My birthday month brought with it snow and a birthday weekend away in Kings Sutton and a trip to Bicester Village.
April
April was spent on a trip of a lifetime as we explored the West Coast of America. We spent time in San Francisco where we took a trip across to Alcatraz Island, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, San Diego and La Jolla, and finally Los Angeles.
May
We made the most of the improving weather and went on several day trips in the South of England including Winchester, Buscot Park (National Trust), Wallingford and a picnic in the Cotswolds.
June
June saw a weekend trip to France where we visited the aquarium in Boulogne, discovered the seaside town of Le Touquet and visited the Etaples Military Cemetery.
July
Finally the summer holidays arrived! What says holidays more than a trip to the Zoo?
August
It was time for our summer adventure to begin and we spend just over two weeks interrailing through Austria and Italy – such a great holiday. Keep watch for the Interrail 18 posts coming very soon!
September and October
During our autumn half term we took a little road trip to visit family in the rolling hills of Shropshire. Our days were spent eating lots of food, warming up in front of the fire and exploring some of the nearby villages such as Bishops Castle and Ludlow. A lovely little getaway!
November and December
November started with a bang with a family get-together to celebrate bonfire night. Although one or two fireworks may have fallen over and almost took us out, it was a really fun and enjoyable evening! In December, we got ready for Christmas and spent it eating LOTS of food and spending time with friends and family. We also began the process of buying a house and booked a VERY exciting holiday for Spring 2019… All will be revealed soon!

As you can see, 2018 was a pretty fantastic year. 2019 will have a hard job topping it!
