For those of you who don’t know, my mother was born in Sopot, Poland. Because of this, I’ve visited family and friends here more times than I can count. Since a young age, I’ve also been passionate about photography and love documenting my experiences. As the country increases in popularity as a legitimate tourist destination, I wanted to show off some of the beautiful photos of Poland that you can take. I hope that this portfolio helps inspire your next trip to this beautiful country.
Beautiful Photos of Poland | Inspiration for Your Trip
📍 Rynek Starego Miasta, Old Town, Warsaw
The Old Town of Warsaw has to be one of the prettiest in Europe. It is also one of the least well-known, making it perfect for photo opportunities. Rynek Starego Miasta is the centre of this and was rebuilt after the Second World War.
📍Hel Peninsula
Found just outside of Sopot, the Hel Peninsula has to be one of the most beautiful places in Poland. If you are looking to immerse yourself in nature and to enjoy the sunshine, this one is for you.
📍Olsztyn
The city of Olsztyn lies in the heart of the Polish equivalent of the Lake District. This makes it a perfect base to explore the gorgeous countryside. I love this medieval lesser-known city, especially the Old Town.
🍰 Sernik: Classic Polish Cheesecake
Sernik was a staple in my house growing up. In fact, my mum still makes it regularly when we visit. The cake is made up of soft cheese and egg. This might sound a bit strange – but trust me – it is delicious.
📍Śródka, Poznań
Śródka is the older part of Poznań and this gorgeous photo is the Tale Mural. It was designed to give a 3D effect and celebrates the rich history of the area. The Old Town here is well-worth visiting and has plenty of interesting things to see.
📍Hel Peninsula
Another shot of the Hel Peninsula now. I love the colours of the Baltic Sea and Hel is arguably one of the best places to see them and to take beautiful photos of Poland. Why not do this as a day trip from Gdańsk?
📍Hala Targowa, Wrocław
Hala Targowa is the Market Hall in the historic town of Wrocław. On of my favourite sights is all of the colours brought out by the local fresh produce. You can find markets like this all over the country, but Hala Targowa is my favourite.
📍Toruń
Toruń is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the oldest cities in Poland. Because of this, the Old Town and historical sites are some of the best in Poland. Definitely worth a trip.
📍Hel Peninsula
Northern Poland has some beautiful and quaint spots off lesser-known paths. This photo was taken of a classic seafood restaurant off the Hel Peninsula. I just love the colours which come out here!
📍Olsztyn
Olsztyn is part of the part of Poland that was under the rule of the Teutonic Knights. Their castles, like this one, are all built in bricks as opposed to other European castles. These are super-interesting to visit and the one in Olsztyn is far quieter to visit that its larger cousin in Marlbork.
📍Polish countryside
The Polish countryside is simply stunning. This photo was taken on one of my Interrail adventures during the summer. I just adore the vibrant red colours from the poppies, mixed in with the white and green.
📍Krakow
The city of Krakow is possibly the most popular destination for tourists. It’s easy to see why; the Old Town in particular is mesmerising. Plus, there is just so much to do in the city. If you want to learn more – check out my guide of what to do in Krakow.
📍Krakow
As Krakow is popular with tourists, you’d expect there to be plenty of restaurants and cafes across the city. And you’d be completely right! Even the most modest buildings, like this one, glow with an orange hue in the summer months due to their paint. I love the contrast of this with the purple flowers in this photo, mixed with the traditional black metal.
📍Krakow
Another Krakow photo now and we can’t ignore St. Mary’s Basilica. This has to be one of my favourite churches in the world. When you see it in the evening light, it is not hard to see why.
🍰 Pierogi with wild blueberries
When I was growing up, we used to have pierogi a fair amount. One filling that I always enjoyed was blueberries. It went so well with the accompanying yoghurt and the casing. It may sound simple, but it is definitely worth visiting Poland for.
📍Gdańsk
The waterfront of Gdańsk is one of the prettiest places in all of Poland. I think that the architecture here is phenomenal, especially in contrast with the Galeon Lew sitting on the water.
📍Poznań
Poznań Old Town has multiple bars and restaurants to explore. I chose to include this photo as I really like the greens and blues in this photo, and the hidden bar.
📍Toruń
This ceramic figurine sits in a window of the Toruń Old Town Hall. There are a few of these dotted around and they represent the burghers; essentially the medieval middle-class. Take time looking around and see how many you can spot.
📍Malbork
This is the largest brick castle in the world and it is well-worth a visit. However, for some of the most beautiful photos in Poland, step outside of the gates and capture Malbork from afar. It is a beautiful building that comes alive in the evening or summer’s light.
📍Wrocław
When you visit Polish Old Towns, you’ll notice that all the buildings are painted in vibrant colours. This photo is of Wrocław and I think highlights this pretty well.
📍Poznań
When you walk around cities and towns in Poland, you’ll find many markets and colourful displays. This photo was taken in a the city of Poznań, and I love the colours that burst out of it. How many wreaths like this can you spot on your next trip?
📍Wrocław
This street view of an Old Town street in Wrocław with one of the famous dwarves that are hidden around the city.
📍Wieliczka Salt Mine, near Krakow
The Wieliczka Salt Mines have to be one of my favourite destinations in Poland. Dive deep underground and see incredible structures, such as St. Kinga’s Chapel, made entirely of salt. For more information, check out my blog post above.
📍Sopot
Sopot was where my mother grew up and I loved coming here as a child. This fun little cabin is found in a woodland within the city and is a great place to grab a traditional Polish lunch. You could stop here before you head to Opera Lesna.
📍Wilanów Palace, Warsaw
This charming Palace is found on the outskirts of Warsaw. The colours here in the summer are gorgeous; I love this place. I love visiting here when we come to Poland and would recommend it to anyone.
📍Poznań
Poznań Cathedral is a really impressive building that is far lesser-known than the more iconic Krakow. However, I think that it is equally as nice to see and is really interesting walking about.

Tell me about it! It is such a beautiful country and still so natural too. I would 100% recommend visiting the Baltic coast (Gdansk in particular) and Krakow is another must!
