So, you’ve made it to my site, my little space in the vast ether and you are probably wondering what it’s all about. So let me introduce myself..
My name is Victoria, I’m a 23 year old with a case of perpetual wanderlust, and I am the girl behind The Girl On The Move.
Whilst this is a brand-spanking-new website, I am not a newbie to the world of blogging. In fact, I set up my previous blog back in 2013 when I set off to Düsseldorf, Germany for my year abroad which was part of my university course, as a way of documenting my travels and as something to look back on in years to come.
My little old blog is still chugging away, doing its thing, but due to the fact that I am now free from the shackles of university with plenty of time on my hands until I find myself an actual job, I have decided to give myself a project (everyone love’s a project, right?) and here it is!
From a very young age my parents have whisked me off on holiday to Europe to visit friends and family and have encouraged me to take an interest in different countries, cultures and ultimately travelling. And I suppose they have succeeded!
In my 23 years I have visited 27 countries (and I’m still counting!) across 4 continents which include:
UK (Home), Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Croatia, Vatican City, Monaco, Greece, Hungary, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Luxembourg, North America and Mauritius
In the coming years, I’m hoping to continue colouring in my little map, one new country at time, and I will be documenting my travels right here.
So to hear about my adventures, both big and small, join me with my blog as I navigate the world, ticking off my ever-growing bucket list as I go!
Happy Travels,
